I am Priscilla Mensah, born in Accra, Ghana, and hail from the Eastern Region of Ghana, a country in West Africa with hospitality as the hallmark of its citizens. I am the first of 3 children of my mum. I had a very great childhood with my dear dad by my side until I lost him in my final year at high school. I had my high school education at Mfantsiman Girls' and proceeded to the University of Ghana where I read Psychology and Political Science. I have always loved cooking and have the flair for anything culinary. At an early age, it had always been my dream to own a restaurant and in March 2015, I started a restaurant as a joint partner and by God's grace, I have been able to start ABK's Eat-In on my own.
ABK's Eat-In is a company that runs culinary services for its clients. It started operation on 11th October, 2017 and serves only local Ghanaian dishes at the moment. It is our vision to be a restaurant and employer of choice in our country. We also plan on adding several continental dishes to our menu and so our profits are reinvested back into the business for growth. At the moment, our place is quite small and it is on our plan to get a bigger place with more serenity so customers can feel at home and we hope Zidisha can support us to achieve this goal.
I’m into the food business and with a growing market. The need has arisen for me to meet my growing demand and with a Zidisha loan, I can increase procurement and meet demand to be able to stay in business. I need a bigger capital to procure more food stuff to feed my customers.
I’m into food supply and since food is a basic need, most of us can’t do without it, plus I have a few organizations I supply to, who are a constant.
