About Me

am boniface orenge 27 years, i have six siblings, four girls and a brother, unfortunately our parents passed on while i was very young so my elder brother and sister had the responsibility of raising us, it was tough for them but in a way they saw us through.
after the struggles we had as kids i decided to do something that can help thats when i got it onion farming, i started with a small amount that my sister would sell in the local market, when i saw the demand was high thats when i started dong it in large scale, so people would come at home and make purchases.

in our land its really fertile and we can depend on rains so that made my work a bit easier since i did need to install an irrigation plan.

during my free time i love cooking so i usually love cooking for my family when am free, atleast to say thank you to them.

My Business

i sell my onions in crates and a crate goes at kes 700, in a month i harvest at least 40 crates this gives me an income of kes 30000 on a monthly basis. i distribute this into various portions to help out. i spend kes 10000 for weeding and pesticides, kes 10000 to pay rent and take care of my household bills kes 3000 goes to my sacco contributions and i make savings of kes 7000 every month for emergencies.

Loan Proposal

i need to build a storage house for my onions, this will help me get more returns since part of my harvest gets spoilt during the rainy season, building this will cost me $ 300,, this is to purchase timber, nails, roofing sheets and pay labor.
