About Me

In my early childhood education, i went to local primary school by the name Witima Primary School. I used to walk to school bare footed, very early in the morning, in the chilling coldness. Having breakfast in the morning was not a guarantee but all the same we were thankful to God for the little that we had. Despite all the odds being against me, i put all the effort i could in my education and proceeded to High School where my education was financed by the well wishers. Going through the High School system was not easy and many are the times I was getting chased out of school for non-payment of the tuition fee. After high school, I managed to get a bursary from our Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and i joined a Government college where i did a Diploma in Computer Networking. After completing my Diploma, I applied for a job in several companies and industries but didn’t manage to get one. I had to do odd jobs to survive and support my sisters as well. It’s from these jobs that I managed to save some money in a Sacco that I joined and I got a loan from the Sacco which I used to start my business. Our culture does not put much emphasis on the education of a girl child and that is why I work hard to see that my two sisters attain education too. I would wish to see my children become successful professionals in their preferred areas of specialization and make a positive change in people’s lives. Besides business, I love watching football and playing chess.

My Business

Dear Lenders. My business entails photocopier services, typing, printing, scanning and lamination services besides selling other goods. My business is situated near a private college and demand for my services is quite high from the students in the nearby college. Students bring a lot of handouts to photocopy and notes to be typed and printed. Most of my expenses are in buying of consumables like blank papers for photocopy and printing, cartridge for the printer and staple pins for the stapler. Other operating costs go into payment of power bills, rent for business space and renewal of trading license. On an average the total income of my business is around Ksh 45,000 (Approx $ 440) and total expenditure is around Ksh 19,000 (Approx $ 180) leaving me with a profit of around Ksh 26,000 (Approx $ 255). I use part of the profit to boost the business and the rest to support my family.

Loan Proposal

Given this loan, I intend to do the following;
1. Buy a domain and setup a website to create a web presence of my business. This will increase my customer range and make it easy for potential customers to get me with ease since my contacts will there.
2. Pay for web hosting for a period of one year.
3. Design and print my business cards
I request all the potential lenders to please consider my application as this will help me a lot in reaching out to many more customers and in the end expand my business more and more.
