About Me

I has been farming vegetables, chilies specifically since 2015. My first venture into chili production was in the north region (Kumbungu) for 3 years and moved to the Bono east region specifically Pamdu in the Kintampo south district and then to Zambrama in the Pru West district of the region to continue the cultivation of various crops with the inclusion of Chilis, Scotch bonnet and Green pepper. I have been processing them and sending to factories down south that further process into packages and packets for retail and export. I have worked and continues to work with small holder farmers either through aggregation of dried pepper in the northern region and creating a mini out grower scheme with them in Bono east region. My five year experience in the cultivation and aggregation of chili across the value chain as well as my insight into the terrain and the impact it has had and it can have on the livelihoods of farmers puts me in the best position to effectively execute this project. I have directly through production and through engagement with smallholder farmers produced, aggregated and supplies hundreds of tons of chili pepper to clients .

My Business

My business , grow it green farms has been producing chili pepper for my clients in the processing industries , they convert my dried produce into powdered pepper and the fresh ones into pepper purée . Currently our monthly order exceeds our current production capabilities. This loan will help us acquire irrigation facilities to help us overcome the uncertainties of our current climate .

Loan Proposal

The dry season is in and the heat intensity is at record levels where our farm is located in the northern part of Ghana . We need to thereby water more frequently which requires more fuel to be purchased regularly as well as frequent maintenance of the water pumps

Income Source

We are operating an irrigation system for our current crop production so we for the most part avoid the perils of relating on the rain to cultivate our crops . This also helps us to cultivate throughout the year even when most farms are on hiatus .
