About Me

I am married and a father of one child. My childhood was rough because my parents were not there for me and I grew under the care of my grandparents. I completed high school but due to lack of financial support I did not attend college. However, through determination and hard work I learnt a number of skills that allowed me survive doing manual labour. Last year, I got employment at a local supermarket where I sold hardware items. It is while working here that I got training in paint work and mixing , a skill that motivated me to start a business in painting buildings. My salary at the supermarket wasn't enough to support my family and I decided to quit and begun the business. I have done a couple of painting works so far.
The area or country that I live has unique things. First, the area has a landscape and things that are tourist attractions. The wild animals such as lions, elephants, cheetahs, and many others can be found in my area. I also live within the famous Rift Valley, a great tourist attraction.
My son still young and has not yet learnt what he want in life but I want the best for him and that why I have to work extra hard.

My Business

My core business involves themed-painting of building, walls, and sometimes advertisement boards. I source the painting work myself and sometimes I liaise with a construction company that gives me the paint works after they are done constructing the building. I have researched the business and I realized it is a potential business. My main challenge is capital. Sometimes I need extra work force and they demand to be paid on a daily basis, which is a challenge because I receive payment after completing the work. Also, some customers insist that I purchase the paints myself and it can be a challenge because my business is still young. Both my costs and profits vary depending on the size of the project. The last project I made a net profit of $250. I project that the profit will grow as I gain more experience in the trade. Currently I am using my profits to market the business and for my family upkeep.

Loan Proposal

I intend to use the loan to meet labour costs of a project I am currently working on. I will use the money to pay workers that demand to be paid on a daily basis. And when I am paid by the sponsor of the project I will pay back the money.

As the VM for Peter Gichuhi, I wish to inform the lenders that I have contacted him and he promised to make payments for the due instalments. He informed me that he has been unwell but will make an effort to repay.
