About Me

my name is Donald Omondi Ochieng. I am the 1st born in a family of six. my family lives in siaya while i reside in Nairobi. I work at Sai pharmaceuticals as a medical representative.
i studied biochemistry at egerton university andcompleted in 2012. my passion for studied health related sciences increased my interests in pharmacology and especially in establishing a chemist in babadogo estate nairobi where i deal with antimalarial drugs especially coartem and antibiotics such as azithromycin. during my free time, i engage in community work programs especially in my estate which has many low income earning and vulnerable families. through such initiatives, most children have been encouraged in engaging in creative activities such as sporting activities and also encouraging them to go to school. this has greatly reduced the number of children engaging in criminal acts.

My Business

my source of income is based on sales of antimalarial drugs and antibiotics. most drugs for antimalaria and antibiotics are expensive. my chemist offers affordable antimalarial drugs such as coartem and antibiotics such as aziagio which is an azithromycin. these affordable drugs best suit such a community which is overpopulated with low income earning families who can barely afford expensive drugs.
a carton of coartem costs $150 while a carton a the aziagio azithromycin costs $50. these two drugs have a good market in babadogo due to the vulnerability of the community to malaria and bacterial infection due to the congestion in the area and also mosquito breeding grounds.
since i am employed, the repayment of the loan wont be a problem.
my monthly costs for the two groups of drugs is US$200 my revenue is $ 300.

Loan Proposal

My loan is to enable me expand my business further. the costs of acquiring medicine from town distributors have increased in the recent days. I therefore need the loan to ensure that my operations are not affected by this occurrence. The loan sum of ksh. 14900 will help me to acquire antihistamine drugs to help provide medication for my patients especially in this cold season. My brand of choice is a levocetrizine montelukast combination know by brand name as L Montus. one dose of the drug costs ksh. 450. currently i receive many patients with prescriptions on the said drug who are either asthmatic or have suffer from seasonal allergic rhinitis. I intend to use this fund to purchase up 30 packets of L Montus to help stock my chemist and boost my returns. Kindly assist me purchase the drugs through your funding as this will help improve my business.
