About Me

I was born and raised in Ngere location in homabay county Kenya. I pursued my pre-primary and primary school certificate education in Ngere primary school, passed and later Mirogi girls high school which I completed in the year 2006. I later joined Tracom college at Nakuru town to pursue higher level of Education in pharmaceutical diploma course as my futher career which lasted for three years and finished on 2009. Upon my completion, have been moving to different offices, and various institutions looking for job opportunity but all my attemps were invain. Its until early this year when i thought of giving business chance to support my livelyhood and fter some consultation with friends in the same business and survey i chose to vencher in second hand clothes known as "mitumba' this business entails buying and selling of new and second hands cloths, sewing of new clothes and reparement of clothes. I appealed for assistant from friends and relatives who succssesfully borrowed me some funds for my capital which were used for purchasing my first bandle of second hand clothes, one sewing machines, and establishment of business shop. My business is situated along the junction road to town centre and i found the place most strategicall for this type of business since, its situated near roadside and many casual workers, motorbike transporters, and college students passersby who are my potential customers. My business is now ten moths old and has been very doing well and subsequently supporting my households and siblings financially. I am a single mother with one kid and my child would like to be a teacher in future. In my free time, i like watching movies and football matches.

My Business

My business entails buying and selling of second hands clothes as known as 'Mitumba' within my local. I purchase a bandle of Mitumba clothes at 20,000 KES($200) each and sell each bandle at approximately 23000KES($230) to 26000KES($260). This will gives me aprofit of about 6000KES($60) for every bandle. Therefore two bundles would last for one to two weeks and would give me approximately 10000KES($100) profit. My business has employed two employees who were unemployed. The business is normally doing better during holidays when schools and colleges are closed since, most of the customers are both students and school going pupils. This business seasons are April, august, and December. We are on charismas festive season and the business is doing very well. Subsequently i have finished my stock and kindly appealing to you lenders and zidisha team to consider my application and fund it so that I can certified my costumers demands effectively.

Loan Proposal

I have been saving for this and therefore has set aside 50,000 KES($500) for this inventory of new products which are at the moment in demands since, Christmas day is few weeks away and most of my customers would like to celebrate it in new attire. The business is giving me an average of 2000 KES($20) to 3000KES($30) daily and I normally collect approximately 15,000 KES.($150) every week. I'm very confident that the business would repay the loan constantly and successfully without failure.
