About Me

my names are esther mweemba started school at chakunkula primary school in 1997 when i was in grade 6 my father could not manage to pay for my school fees brother took over i managed to complete secondary level but could not go collage am not working people are peaceful the environment is cool my first son want to be doctor i like sing.

My Business

am selling soft drinks ,sugar, bread, soap, airtime,eg am paying for school fees for my son i started this kind of business because these are daily needs and the place were am doing this business there is no shop nearby i started this business i only had 200k but now my capital is just the groceries is at 700k and for airtime is at 1800k and now i want to use the money to put a bigger shelter.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be used to build a steel shop shelter, it will be a cubical large enough to house more goods for sell. Currently am using a stand where I place my goods for display to sell. I have been running the business for a year now, but finances have been a challenge.
One of my biggest challenge is that of security, as my stand is in the open along the road side. Am forced to carry all my goods and travel to a friend's house where I secure my goods for the nights. Every morning I carry my goods back to my stand plot, which is a lot of work and time consuming. Having the steel shelter will allow me lock up my shop and leave my goods safe in the same location.
The shelter will also enable me sell more goods as it will allow me display more goods hence increasing my sells and increased confidence from my customers buying from a well sheltered shop.
Another reason why the shelter is needed, is the on coming rains, which last for 4 to 5 months here in my country Zambia. During the rain season, without a shelter, business comes to a halt.

Costs required to build the shelter:

K1500.00 is the total bill for labor and materials to build the shelter. There is a metal craftsman whom is specialized in making the shelters from steel.

Made some payments in 2016 and then again in February 2019. In January 2021 I finally gave up and transferred the loan to the Zidisha Members Loan Fund.
