About Me

I grew in a family of six siblings where I am the last one. I used to be the center of attention for everyone and there was a nickname "Kaura" that was being used on me meaning "the small one".

Despite being the top student in the Zone where I used to attend my primary school, my family was faced with a lot of financial challenges, and my secondary education was funded through sponsorship. I managed to secure a place in a college where I studied accounting and finance.

I decided to take up freelance writing since securing a job that can supply one with everything is hard. With freelancing, I can now manage to work hard and earn my daily living. Writing uses one's creativity and apart from making money, one gets to learn a lot through online research.
I have also started a gaming business where I have a squash field that helps the youths to spend their time constructively.

One of the unique things with my culture is the traditional old men had their huts despite marrying several wives. Some men still have the same to date. Additionally, the men prepared roasted mutton and dipped it in honey to preserve it. Then, they could eat it slowly and sometimes with their peers.

I have 2 boys at the moment. I will guide them and then allow them to choose what they would like to be.

My topmost hobby is watching music that is played by a band. I love the synchronization of different musical instruments in order to create a rhythm and a tune. My other hobbies include creative writing, sightseeing, and traveling.

Lastly, my favorite part of the day is when the sunsets.

My Business

I have already rented a playground where I have installed a Squash game, close to a residential area. My idea after research on how to make it possible for youths to spend time constructively. I saw and I still see over 200 idle youths that were vulnerable to maladaptive behaviors, such as drinking alcohol, to kill time. I also saw over 50 people that were struggling to jog along the road where they were prone to be knocked off by vehicles and ill health due to inhalation of carbon emissions from the vehicles.

I charge Kshs50 per game that lasts for 1 hour. I also operate for 10 hours thus making Kshs500 every day and Kshs182,500 per year from the game when operating at a full capacity. My typical costs are repair and maintenance of the games kits, rent for the ground, and renewal of the business permit. Regarding the profit, I make around Kshs100,000 annually. Currently, I am using the profits for domestic uses.

If I get funding, then I can buy 1 more game kit thus increasing my revenue. I have the vision to buy at least 10 game kits and also open branches in other residential areas.

Project Proposal

I will use the funds to buy a badminton game kit. The move will help me accommodate more youths. I expect to earn an extra Kshs500 every day.
