About Me

To begin with, My name is Seth Joseph Onyino, am 26 years old living in Kenya, Professionally am a Para-legal. I was born and raised in Kenya a place called Homabay county. Am a strong Christian having been raised in a Christian family.Am the manager of SETH & JOE FURNITURE, were we build and sell furniture. We also clean furniture especially washing of sofa sets for both domestic and industrial purposes, a business I have done for a period of time.Talking about my childhood,I think I was one lucky kid during my childhood because I surely had food on my table unlike many other kids. Sincerely my childhood; I can say was not that bad.
I went to school well; beginning with nursery through to primary school where I studied for eight years then proceeded to high school where I also studied for four years afterwards I joined college and studied Diploma in Law (Para-legal Studies)at Kenya School of Law for period of three years.
All these were under the sponsorship of my parents.
Even though I was fully sponsored by my parents, that does not mean there were no hardship in my life. Yes; I had to go through all the required education system and I appreciate because school tought me lots of knowledge which has helped me a lot in this dynamic world but sometime I tend to think that school just took so much of my time, so much that I sometime wish that my schooling days could be my business days then I would be so far by now, simply because I always wished and wanted to run a business of my own. Starting this business was no easy, it was a big challenge to me especially raising the money and looking for clients to buy my services was a big problem, I had to do away with lots of my comfort.
So after college I worked as a court clerk at a Law firm in Nairobi for sometime then I resigned to start this business. I raised some little money from my savings which I then used to sponsor myself for course in this business that in wanted to do. I further raised some money by selling some of my household items to buy materials and other expenses. And thus how I begun.
Am from a very unique culture where many people/believe that education is the only way to batter living or future and therefore many will rather stay home waiting for a formal employment than to think and create a job. This has lead to many youths being jobless in my region. As for me I just want to change by following my passion.
Am also a young humble man from a Christian back ground and who does not have a family of my own but I hope to build one in the future.
Far from all those, am a workaholic person. I like talking, selling, marketing, and even negotiating with my clients. I think about my customers a lot. Likewise I like hockey and watching live games.

My Business

In my business we build and sell furniture,thus any type of furniture. We also do repair and furniture washing. Our monthly turnout is about $1685 majorly out of sales of furniture but its also boosted by washing of sofa sets that gives us a total of $561 monthly. Furniture is an all round chattel that are used almost in every place a human being exists. This is because they are goods that are useful in all dynamic sectors like; homes, schools, churches, hospitals, restaurants, clubs, and even events. It’s almost impossible for a man to exist comfortably without furniture.
I love this business and I choose it because I wanted to do a business that many households will need its services no matter their financial differences/capability and thus why I settled on this business.
In as much as I have to sustain myself from the profits of this business, I pay myself a fix salary like any other employee and also treat this business as a separate entity from myself. Therefore most profit I return to the profit account for a proper growth and better planning. But the salary I earn from this business normally I use for home improvement.

Loan Proposal

I want to use this loan for only one very important function in my business. like i said before i build and wash furniture but last month may vacuum cleaner broke down thus limiting my business world. Am loosing many client who wants to be cleaned for by vacuuming or washing. This is why I want this money to replace my machine and continue with complete business.The type of machine I want is a vacuum cleaner wet and dry cost of $123.5
I think this will retain my costumers who have been enjoying this kind of services and also maintain my income for better development and service delivery like any other business, I just love to see my client really happy thus why i want to strive and replace this machine.
Once I buy this machine definitely business will be good, In that client who want these services will definitely get the service.
Another thing is that wise men once said that a new broom sweeps clean that means if I find this new machine, its working efficiency must increase and that means profit must also increase.Thank you
