About Me

My Name is Chisanga Mulenga. I live in Kitwe, Zambia. I am 47 years old Zambian Lady. I went to school at Fatima Girls Secondary School in Ndola. I finished college and worked for sometime.. I am now full time in Business in Kitwe.

My Business

I run a garbage collection business. I collect garbage door to door weekly on different days in difference areas. I provide Garbage bags for my customers to pack their garbage and charge a fee for collecting their garbage weekly.
Each household is responsible for proper disposal of their garbage at the government designated dump area. Most if the people would rather they out source this service. This is where I come in to help clean our environment and the garage bags keeps the household garbage properly contained reducing the spread of diseases.
This service is on very high demand as it is needed by every household.
I choose this much need service to provide help clean the environment the community, employment to the youths and reduce the spread of diseases.
Cost are transport, salaries, dumping fees, telephone bills, Administration costs and there is an income that comes in every week.

Loan Proposal

The funds will be used for the day to day running cost of providing this service.

From the money, I will by the plastics @ $0.15 per Plastic.

The benefit is that when garbage is neatly packed it will lessen the work of loading the garbage on the truck and off loading the garbage at the dump site hence creating more time to do pick ups in more areas.

It will be convenient for the customers to store the garbage before pickup time.
I expect the my profit will increase by 20%

    Apologies to my lenders for not repaying back until now. I have been hiring transport that has been reliable till last month when two of the vehicles i was hiring had mechanical problems. One was involved in an accident and the other one just broke down. I were on a contract with this transporter and payments were done at the month-end. I still had to continue the business but the new transport provider is asking me to pay him cash leaving me with very little money to do the business and also pay the loan. I am still negotiating with the new transporter so that I make payments at the month-end. From the assistance I have been getting from ZIDISHA, I have been banking the profits in a fixed account towards buying myself a dump truck. Calling in to withdraw before maturity, I will be charged extra penalties.
    I am confident that I will be able to pay back by Sunday 9th of September 2018

    With the loan funds, I purchased the garbage bags this is one of the major administration cost that I have for this business.. The purchase has made it easier for me to save a bit more towards the purchase of the Dump Truck..

    My main administrative cost are Garbage bag. I give the garbage bags free to my customers to organise the garbage before it is collected but charge them a fee to collect and dispose off the well organized garbage in bags at the government designated dump site.

    Dear My Lender, I had a problem of transport the past two weeks... The truck we were using developed a problem with the engine and was in the garage for 2 weeks.. We hope to work hard these few weeks to caught on the outstanding work.. I apologize for paying late.

    Dear Lender,

    I received the funds on 25th April 2018 and from the funds I purchased the much needed 500 Plastics garbage bags.
    It is easier now that we have in stock the garbage bags for the month of May for the prepaid customers.
    The increase in the business is being saved for us one day to own a Modern Garbage truck. at the moment we just use open vans and trucks to transport garbage from the community to the Government dumping site.

    Dear Lender,

    Thank you very much for funding my Loan. It shall be used for the purpose I have borrowed it for.

    From the Loan I will buy the much needed 500 garbage Bags for the 125 households that have pre-paid for the service for a Month. This will help us because the service of garbage collections for our pre-paid clients will be flawless. Once the clients enjoy such a service I am confident that they will help on marketing us and that will increase our business to about 10%.

    The plan is to pay it in 5 week.

    Dear My Lenders,
    I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my Lenders for the loans given to me previously. The community is benefiting greatly from the work I and my team are doing and I have 6 employee, an increase of about 3 from the time I started to Now. These youths have something to do and a livelihood. Two of them are Married and are looking after their families through this work. Thank you once again for the humble work you are doing.
    From the last Loan we purchased more Plastic garbage Bags and helped more people in the community pack away the household waste which we collected later and dump the waste according.
    The income has increased to about 20% allowing me to plan better.

    Good Afternoon My Lenders. I want to thank you for the loan that you gave me in December. I was able to work with it. With that Loan i inceased my customer base from 100 to 150.. this month i would like to have about 200 to 250 customers. The loan is needed urgently so that i can be able to build this customer base. I thank you in auticipation.
