I am single mother of 3 children, one in secondary form one,two in primary school.I went to school and reached primary level.Due to lack of funds i was discontinued because my father, the soul dependant fell ill and due to the fact that education for girls was not seriously considered in the African traditions.I thus, was unfortunate having missed education and husband too.Worse to mention violence of 2007/2008 that left 300,000 including myself were displaced and 5000 killed. My mum was paralysed after attack by the warriors.Since then ,I have been my parents and my children's bread winner. My butcher business is our livelihood resource.
My main business is butchery.Specifically I boil cattle heads and make sweet soup that customers prefer to other made by men. Some men business run-mates falsely say i have other unknown herb that attract my customers, but that is nonetheless except my quality cookery and roiko mix,so sweet. This earns me ksh 15,000 monthly
Given the loan I will use the money to buy friuts and add them to sales in my regular meat and soup trade.Customers after eating meat or drinking soup want to escort it with fruits as a way of balancing a meal. They need a complete meal including ugali, the source of energy.I will buy 10 bags of maize as stock for grinding for making the ugali whole meal. Each 90 kg bag will cost about 2000.That is to say 10 bags will take ksh 20,000.The remainder will buy other confessional commodities and some of it to renovate the butchery,e.g. painting and expanding the eating room and buy new utensils in replacement of the worn out ones.
