I am the second born in a family of 4 children. I am married to Ruth and we are blessed with one boy who is three years old. I schooled up to form three and dropped out of school due to lack of school fees. my parents could not just afford to pay for my school fees.
After dropping out of school, I was so depressed and spend most of time alone. I thought everything was over. I later got a sponsorship from IPA (research organization) to attend vocational training in Kenya polytechnic. I studied welding and fabrication .I then joined a private mechanic in Kisumu for internship of four months that further solidified my experience in the field. I worked harder and bought my own welding machine. I then rented a small room where I started my business. The business went on well but my dreams were shuttled when fire gutted down everything. I had to work in other workshops to raise capital again, I reopened the business after six months and I am happy the business is growing.
I have one child who is three years old and he wants to be an engineer when he grows up.
My hobbies include, watching soccer, visiting friends, meeting new people and dancing.
I provide welding and fabrication service to my customers. I make doors, windows, man holes ,gates etc for the clients. I always have photo albums and my customers choose what they like from the albums and I make it for them. Occasional customers come with there own models and I make them .My big secrets to attracting and retaining customers is always good quality work that I do to them and on time delivery.
I choose to do this business because I had studied welding and fabrication back in the college and also because the business has good profit margins.
My monthly typical costs are $300 on electricity and rent and my monthly revenues are $550. I use the profits I earn from the business to support my family, pay school fees for my young sister and save for business expansion.
dear lenders please finance my loan so that I can buy a grinder for my workshop. I would use the money to buy a good grinder worthy $180 that is durable and would serve my business for a good time leading to high production and more sales.thank you in advance.
