My name is Mary Nalukui. I am a farmer living in Kabwe rural. I am married to Peter, who is also a farmer. We have three children.
We produce maize, potatoes and soya beans at the farm.
I have cultivated a large portion of land to plant groundnuts. I plan to sell the groundnuts to a local nutrition agency operating in the area.
The agency buys the groundnuts and produces baby porridge and other food supplements which are distributed to vulnerable children.
I plan to use the loan to purchase groundnut seeds and fertilizer to plant at our farm in Kabwe rural.
When the groundnuts are grown, I plan to harvest the nuts and sell to a local nutrition agency organisation that operates in the area
The nutrition agency processes the groundnuts and makes peanut butter and baby porridge for sale to the public.
Our farm in Kabwe rural is doing well and our plans are to increase production of cash crops, such as maize, potatoes and groundnuts.
The planting of the groundnuts would help our farm to realise good profits.
