About Me

I am 26yrs old single lady born and bought up in Nyahururu in the central Kenya where i schooled up-to to form four , after school I came to Nairobi and I ended up in ongata Rongai an outskirts town of Nairobi I am a part time student at Multimedia university college. pursuing a course in purchasing and supply .I live in ongata rongai where i operate a small kiosk and I started this business 3yrs ago in 2010 as a source of income as for a living. With the earning from this business i am able to pay my college fees feed myself and rent.a place where i stay. With my background from the agricultural Nyahururu Area in Nyandarua Central kenya i have interest in farming and food markets this is after experience when growing up where my parents grow foodstuffs and sells in the local markets. That's the reason i am looking for a loan to expand my business and be able to raise enough capital to buy a small piece of land where with the improved knowledge in the course i am taking i can farm and sell my products at a profit and i shall be able to employ and empower my fellow countrymen.

My Business

My Business is a small kiosk housed in a small semi permanent room next to Kcb ongata rongai where I have been selling vegetable and food stuffs for the last three years, I sell vegetables like cabbages .tomatoes ,carrots, and onions, i also sell fruits and prepare foods like githeri and Mukimo . There is demand for my products because the stall is on the main-road near a bus stage where there is a high flow of customers going home who consume the food stuffs I sell.Customers mostly prefer my place as its accessible and i provide them with good quality fresh produce which I get daily from the retail market in kware. This Business is very profitable as you put the prices according to the market prices and customers demand. The challenges are sometimes there is oversupply or under-supply as some vegetables are seasonal n a month my typical costs are My house rent 5000 Kiosk Rent 3000.Supplies 15000 Transport.and college fees 15000 per semester n a month I make a sale of about 45000 and after deducting my expenses i am left with about 10000 or more depending on the products in season
