I was born and raised up in central kenya near Mt Kenya , Kirinyaga County in a family of four kids me being the first born.
During those days there were no many schools as today as could walk for 12 Kilometres to reach my primary school.
I came to be in business after i married my husband who had already started doing electric sales and services. from there i saw an opportunity to introduce a hardware section.
We operate from Murang'a county central Kenya the origin of the Kikuyu community ancestors GIKUYU AND MUMBI. The landscape so beautiful and cool weather. Rivers flow down the ridges, tall trees and water falls make the land wonderful.
I work as a Hardware shop proprietor together with my husband who operate with electricals and services. Mostly i sell plastic wares , tools , nails, brooms, and many more.
I choose this business because i love doing it as a passion.
With this business am able to support my husband in his projects.
With this loan am planning to add more stock in my hardware on items regarding to Portable Hand wash tanks, buckets, basins, taps, poultry feeders and drinkers for farmers.
Am also to stock face masks and sanitizers at cheap and affordable rates to my community so i may help on availability to the poor.
All these items are at more demand as there are much campaigns on people to maintain personal hygiene during these times the world is fighting corona virus. I will be able to make my business grow and become even more financial stable and as usual help one or two needy elderly persons with food to run them for a few days.
Considering that the loan is going to my already operating business i have much hopes that my profit must increase by KES 3000 every week.
If my business is affected by the corona outbreak i will be in a position to continue repaying my loan since at my home i do some other money making activities such as chicken rearing and also do assist my husband in his Electronics business which is continuing to grow more and more especially now pupils are learning their syllabus through electronics due to the corona outbreak.
