About Me

My name is Zachariah Mwangi a resident of Centre Ojuka Estate that is off Langa Langa-Face2 Highway behind Bondeni police station.l am the last born in our family of eight members and my siblings are in various colleges  here in Nakuru.l graduated three years ago from a local university here in Nakuru with a degree in Sales and marketing but due to scarcity of the jobs in the market l decided to venture into business where l started selling second hand goods opposite Tidy's Hotel Nakuru town .l am married and mostly l use my earnings to support my family and my siblings who are still in college and engage also part of income in economic activities such as buying and selling of scrap metals mostly on part time  so as to earn an extra shilling.
The selling  of second hand goods  or clothes business is a very profitable business considering that in Nakuru we are at the center of Kenya where goods come from many parts of other towns. Utmost some of my clients comes from neighboring towns like Njoro,Mau narok,and other nearby towns.Though the business has many challenges  such as fluctuations from where i buy my merchandise it has never impacted my business negatively since my clients are able to reason with the unpredictable market trends.

My Business

Having given comprehensive report about my business, i have sincere understanding that paying zidisha loan wont be of great challenge since i already have an existing establishment to facilitate the commitment of the loan.Having enough customers to supply my merchandise i have no doubt in my mind that my venture will thrive hence uplifting not only my life but also the lives of others positively.The zidisha loan will be a big boost to my business which will enhance its growth potential.Also having done a diploma in sales and marketing has given me an additional advantage since am well versed with public relations and customer care skills
With the economy the way it is, more and more people are turning to secondhand goods and the most obvious and probably best reason to shop secondhand is the price difference.Most importantly, buying and selling secondhand goods is fun! You never know what you're going to get--it's a brand new treasure hunt every time. You might buy a storage unit filled to the brim with antiques, or maybe vintage comic books, or something completely different. If you keep your eyes open, you can find some incredible things that people just decided to throw out. It goes to show you that the old saying is true: one man's trash is truly another man's treasure. On a good month l am able to make Ksh 8,000 as net profit.With the support from the Zidisha team I will happily expand my business.
