About Me

My name is Fauzia Ibrahim Am a resident of mtwapa and a businesswoman in mtwapa as well I'm married with five children .two are girls and three are boys. They are all in school. One in secondary school .two are in in primary school. One is in class six and the the firstborn child finished her form four.I live with all my children in my own house in Gao village in Mtwapa The home is next to Mzedu shop.If you use the Nuru hospital way,it is half a kilometer after passing the hospital. I opperate a cafeteria along the Mombasa Malindi road behind the Equity bank.Im a class five drop-out.My parents were poor and could not take me beyond that.I started this business mainly to reduce povert in my family.I do buy various items ie rice, vegetables, wheateflour, maizeflour, coconuts, sugar etc I also buy for my family the following;clothes pay for school fees, transport. Its my great hope that if Zidisha will take my application into consideration then ill boost my business and even join the adult education for further studies.

My Business

My business is to run a cafeteria whereby I cook various foods like tea, ugali, rice or pilau, vegetables, meet, beans, cowpeas, dumplings or maandazi, chapati etc and sell in a special clean room and serve these to ready customers. There is ever high demand in that as the population has drastically advanced people are busy and need to redeem time in their pieces of work, therefore for that matter I do win my day that way.Customers do prefer my business in that my foods are ever ready in time and that quick service and cleanliness are observed so that I retain them. The business is profitable in that I buy the commodities in whole sale and resale them to consumers directly. In additional to that one sack of beans worth ksh:4500 can be sold in two weeks at a ksh:8000.The risk that faces my business is price fluctuation in the world market and the poor economy especially here in Kenya. This is a good business as i make a profit of ksh 30,000 per month after all my expenses. With this money i use ksh 8,000 paying my helper as i have an assistant who is helping with my daily work, i also use ksh 5,000 for my family daily needs, i use ksh 3,000 paying rent at the cafe as i shifted the business from my house in search of a better business site. so in a month i save ksh 12,000. With this amount of money i can effectively repay my zidisha loan.

Loan Proposal

Hello, am happy to yet again being given the opportunity to post another loan application for a second loan. I thank the entire zidisha team and all my lenders for making my business be what it is today. The first loan was very useful because its now doing very well and this is because of the boost i got from the loan. With this second loan i would like to add more stock and again i would like to start a green grocer just by my restaurant as i way of expanding my business. With this expansion i will have added more value to the business and also increase my income.
