I' am married with two children a boy and a girl. Which i live with them with my wife. Here at Mikanjuni Village at Mtwapa town.
I was born in 1975, at Ramada village in Malindi town, i joined Primary School in Malindi but i couldn't complete my studies due to lack of fees, we are 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls so my parents could not afford paying our school fees. Being a fourth born, my life was so hard so i decided to look for unskilled jobs so that i can get my basic needs. On 2007 i decided to shift from Malindi to Mikanjuni at Mtwapa town in search of a job.
At Mtwapa life was to hard but just because i hard a dream, that my children should not go through what i had gone through, i worked extra hard to overcome this that is way i decided to save some amount of money in Equity bank and later i applied for a loan which i used to buy a Motor bike.
I' am now working as a boda boda in Mtwapa, so due to high demand of customers i wish to buy another motor bike, because the competition is to high and most of clients prefer a new bike. now as the business has gone into the high of its demand here in mikanjuni am getting a better income now than it was before, and due of this am planning to get another motor bike which i will give it to one of my fellow boda drivers that i knew who will be operating it and bring some income to me everyday and through this i will be able to create more income that will make made me live a comfortable life and educate my children well for the purpose of their future life standard. with the income that i earn from my motor bike i do buy spare parts for my motor bike eg side mirrors spokes reflectors tires , carburetor, guard driving shaft clutch cables shoe brakes etc.and the rest i pay school fees to my children whom i love them most, food clothing my family and medicine.
I provide light transport services, by transporting passengers from one place to another. i also transport light luggage from one place to another as well.the demand is very high because within the area that i live this boda boda business has been received well by the people and they mostly use this service for travelling into different places. and because of this the demand is every day increasing in a quiet a number of peoples.my customers prefer my services because i do provide a safety jacket for my clients to wear when they board on my motorbike.and this is why they prefer my services.the business is profitable because i just buy the motorbike at once and it makes me earning some income everyday.the risks of this business is only caused by the bad roads that we have in the area, these roads makes me keep on changing spare parts every time due to the corrugation on the road.this one of the risks that am facing. also during raining season there is water that stays on the road and this is not very good for motorbike.my typical monthly cost is khs 2000 this is after servicing my motorbike oiling it and buying of spare parts. and my monthly sales is ksh 12,000 so after subtracting ksh 2,000 as monthly coast then i remain with ksh10,000 this is my monthly running profit. so with this loan that am applying from zidisha i intend to add with the earning that am getting from my motorbike so that i can buy another motorbike so that i can increase my monthly earning and manage to plan myself well for the future with my family.
Hello, i first would like to thank the whole zidisha staff for the act of faith that you are extending to the people who are in need of these services. With this loan i would like fisrt to make sure that i have used the whole amount effectivelly, buy investing the whole amount to the business. so i srevice the motorcylcle so that i can work well at any time without worries of punctures or chain problems. After the service i will have added quality to the motercycle and am expecting to cver more customers and this will generatemore income.
