About Me

My name is Magdalene Kyalo, a resident of mtwapa and a businesswoman in mtwapa as well. I live in a rented house here in mtwapa with my one child. Am a single mother and my only child is six year old. Am a secondary school lever having completed my form four. After my school i had to begin the search for a job as i could not afford going to any college due to my family's financial status. Its after a hard struggle in doing casual jobs i managed to start a teaching course here at a community training center. After this course i got a job at a private school here in mtwapa. though this job i managed to start a green grocery which has been doing very good. With this business i can now take good care of my child and pay his school fees.

My Business

I own a green grocer here in mtwapa.This business is doing very good here and i thank God for his grace towards me and my family. I have ready customers of which i have a good customer care. I get my goods from the wholesale market in Mombasa called Kongowea wholesale market. Here i get all that i need as per my customers need. This business is good and i get an income of ksh 20,000 per month. This business has risks like, when in the dry seasons goods becomes very expensive and some times the profit margin go down. With this income i get from the business i use ksh 3,000 buy food for my family,ksh 2,500 is used to pay rent, and ksh 1,000 paying for my child school fees. I also sent ksh 2,000 to my mother who lives in the village. So i save ksh 8,500 per month which is enough to use it for paying my zidisha loan.
