About Me

Am Mary Mwende Murungi, i was born in Athi Location in Akachiu sub-location in Igembe South Constituency in Meru county in Kenya. I have been raised by a single parent, my Dad died while i was still a toddler. I attended my prymary school education at Athi prymary school and later joined Akithii girls secondary school where i passed my form four exam with a mean grade of C-Plain. I later Joined Kenya Methodist University to study 'Diploma in Pharmaceutical and Technology. Am currently working on my own chemist " Nyambene Choice Chemist" which has low medical suppliers currently to meet the market demands.

My Business

Being raised my a single parent was the biggest challenge of my lifetime, we used to do menial jobs in tea plantations together with my siblings and our mother to support our family as well as afford education. My elder brother sacrificed his education to work on tea farms so they could afford to fund my education. After graduation, i worked under short term basis in private chemists and i saved up from the small salary i earned so i could get capital to start my own business. I started my Chemist "Nyambene Choice Chemist" in the in August 2021 and currently i have a client base in my locality who i cannot adequately meet their demand due to low stock owing to my limited capital.

Project Proposal

Given the loan I would add more stock to my Chemist business. I will add 2 packets of Amoxylin Tablets and also add 5 packets of P-Alaxin tablets as it is a rainy season here and people are prone to malaria.
