About Me

Am the first born in a family of three kids, am a computer science undergraduate student and I do freelance academic writing, am in my final year at Kenya Methodist University, Nairobi. The freelance writing is my source of income and in a good month I can earn up to $336. I however wish to start investing on bigger projects and I believe that will be possible by taking loans to achieve greater goals. Am an enterprising person and the sky has never been my limit, I aim higher. Scott Belsky the co-founder of Behance once said, “It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.” I aim at making my ideas happen.

My Business

I operate a samosa business where I sell samosas to students in campus. Samosas are the preference for most students due to their nutritional value and cheap cost. Due to this fact, samosas are in high demand and venturing into their sale is a profitable business; however, there are risks and shortcomings in any business model, competitors in the market, lack of enough capital and human resource are among the many shortcomings. However, I believe that where there is a will there is a way, and every success story has an origin. Additionally, am also an academic writer and most of my income comes from writing, and on average, I make approximately $336 per month hence I can be able to repay the loan on time.

Loan Proposal

I shall use the loan to start a business, the business will deal with selling samosas, I shall buy precooked samosas at wholesale prices and make them ready for consumption, and since samosas are in high demand especially in colleges in Kenya, I will be able to make super sales and grow the business and with time maybe to large scales. The reason for my high expectations is because I have already studied the trend in one of the local universities and all I require is capital to start the business, this field has untapped potential and the earlier I start it the better the outcome (profits and success). With the help of Zidisha and all those in partnership with it, I will be able to realize my goal.
