About Me

After graduating with a bachelor of commerce, I decided to venture in self-employment instead of joining the endless list of job seekers. My entrepreneurial skills led me to start a business trading in computer spare parts and mobile phone accessories. This business enables me to meet my monthly financial requirements and leave me with a decent amount to save or pay a business liability like a loan. Some profit is re-invested in the business to ensure that there is continual growth. Through this profit plough-back, it has enabled me to increase my stock, growing from the initial phone covers to accessories and computer repair equipment.

My Business

As stated earlier, I am a youthful entrepreneur who makes a tidal sum of income. In our rural setting, many clients lack access to mobile phone accessories. Traditionally, they used to travel many kilometers to the main county headquarters. The same case applies to computer accessories. Thus, with few competitors within this region, the clients are flowing to my business, making me have good profits.

Typical monthly cost include rent of Ksh. 8000, electricity bill of Ksh. 2000, water bill of Ksh. 600 and labor/wages of Ksh. 10,000. This totals to Ksh. 20,600. My monthly cost of goods sold is about Ksh. 35,000 and total sales revenue is about Ksh. 86,000. This leaves me with a gross profit of Ksh. 30,400. I apportion this amount to Ksh. 15,000 for recurrent expenditure and the rest for saving and re-investment.

Loan Proposal

Given the loan, I intend to stock second-hand laptops. I have noted that there is an increase in demand for laptops, as most of my customers inquire about them often. Having done the feasibility studies, I am sure that the sale of laptops will surely open doors for me. The reason why I have opted to invest in the sale of laptops is because, being based in a small town, most people within my locality travel for approximately 50 kilometers when in need of laptops. By bridging this market gap, I have no doubts that my business will achieve a higher profitability. Please help me achieve my dream.

Thus, with few competitors within this region, the clients are flowing to my business making me to have good profits. Typical monthly cost include rent of Ksh. 10000, electricity bill of Ksh. 2000, water bill of Ksh. 700 and labor/ wages of Ksh. 10000. This totals to Ksh. 22700. My monthly cost of goods sold is about Ksh. 48,000 and total sales revenue is about Ksh. 101000. This leaves me with gross profit Ksh. 53000. I apportion this amount to Ksh.15000 for recurrent expenditure and the rest for saving and re-investment. However, I expect this to change drastically by adding more stock to my business, I also intend to diversify my business to also cater for computer classes with an aim of increasing my business income.

The previous loan granted was very helpful to my business. It made my business to expand from a modest retail business to a business that can now supply goods and services in a quite large scale.

Thank you very much my lenders. I have had a very successful year thanks to your help. For the first time in my life i was able to pay for my holiday which was an experience that i will never forget. Along the way there were alot of challenges emanating from slow business performance. This explains why i had a challenge repaying my loan. All in all, am happy that i have been able to finally clear the loan. Keep stretching your helping hand and God will surely reward you.

    Dear Lenders,
Thank you all for contributing towards my loan. My loan has been very helpful. I have so far managed to stock second hand laptops whereby I have already sold three within the past one week, and re-invested the proceeds into the business. The business is now doing good and I hope to expand it in the near future. I promise to keep you posted.
    Thank you once more.
    Best Regards.
    Edith.

    Dear All,

Thank you for your continued support, For my past loan managed to fully stock my small shop. I have gone further and purchased a more effective and reliable printing and photocopying machine. Am now able to deliver quality work on a timely manner which has made me earn a higher reputation and referrals from satisfied customers. Am also stocking more computer accessories than before. Thank you all my lenders. I couldn't have achieved this without your support.

Times have really been tough on my side as the business is performing poorly at the moment. I would occasion this to the uneven rainfall seasons, which have left most people, including me struggling to make ends meet. This explains why I would like to reschedule my loan. Once the business stabilizes I will adjust my repayment rate. Thank you to all my lenders.
