About Me

My names are Charles Kinuthia. I am a resident of Munanda. My parents live here and this is the place that I have been since I was born and thus I well known in this area. I am a born again Christian of the P.C.E.A. I attended Munanda primary and later join Munanda Secondary School after completing my primary school education. I started my business of Cereals some while ago in the year 2007. I have a land where i operate farming and livestock keeping in as a small scale farmer where I join winners self help group because it is famous even in this area. I operate my business and a residential house plot no 1015 where till now I operate my business of buying and selling cereals together with my family, I also do farming and livestock keeping in small scale. My goal is to expand my store for more storage, My goal is to crate job opportunity among people surrounding whose work is to transport farm product from the farmer to my store which I wanted to expand, also I wanted to sell the product to other big town such as Nakuru and Nairobi because for now I just sell in our locality and institution such as nearby boarding school where there demand for cereals during opening day . I live at Munanda trading center at in plot No 1015. With a lot of experience in this business am well known and have my good customers and thus I love this business so much. With the business I have been able to purchase a piece of land that is plot number 1015 at the shopping center. I am intending to buy another motorcycle so that I have two. The other motorcycle I will hire an operator to help me to transport cereals to my store. I am positive that this will improve my revenues.

MY BUSINESS IS BUYING SELLING AND OF CEREALS
My business is located at Munanda trading center which is approximately fourty nine kilometer (49km) from Nakuru-Kiptangwanyi road toward Tee trading center, my business include buying and selling of cereals and farming as a small scale farming at Munanda trading center. I started my business in year 2007. My business grows up to a level of transporting cereals to main town such as Nairobi, my business is located in Munada trading center where I have a store, i am the manager of the business because the business I the one who own the business. The business Is located at a strategic position because it is located on the entrance to the nyariada farm were it is known in Nakuru county for production of farm produce, thus making me to attract more farmers also there is less competition for business offering the same business thus making the business profitable, also being a small scale farmer I am known by many farmer in our area. My stock is worthy ksh 90000, but I continue to buy more cereals gradually, but during this holiday I am expecting to buy more because it is harvesting period, but the main challenge facing my business is lack of money as to fulfill my goal to create employment and to expand by business to other area such as Tee, Tangi-Tano and Kiambogo trading center.
My goal is to transport my cereals to other part of country such as Ukambani where there is a drought through out the year and open another business within our locality especially at Tangi-Tano where I am also well known and where it is closer to the farmers. My business is licensed under the county council of Nakuru municipality to make it legal. My typical monthly cost is khs 80000, sale revenue is around ksh 45000 and profit is above 30000 but I am planning to earning more from the business.

I would like to thanks all zidisha organisation for processing my loan till this far, in munanda and it's environment have experience a good climate becouse we have not experience the dry season as it usually being, we are preparing the land for planting becouse there is high rainfal, thus the loan i will get from zidisha will help me in transporting the cereals i have buyed during the harvesting season, also i want to expand my store to accomodate more bags of cereals. Thus i will be i a good opportunity to gain more profit becouse there is high demand at this moment. I am looking forward to make my goal came true and i will appreciate very much.
