About Me

Am jackline Nduta Wambui,22 years old.I was born and brought up in Mangu town neighboring Thika town.I was born in a family of four:two sisters and one brother.my home area is a purely agricultural area so most of my life was in the farm.It also goes without saying that the schools in our home area perform poorly due to poor infrastucture.That not withstanding ,there is little or no motivation to perform well.It was thus common for an upper school student to fail a lower school exam.its against all these odds that i went to a private primary school for my final years.i worked so hard to score above average and join a public district school while my peers went to local schools.That was a big milestone in my life since it marked a shift in my life.Joining a district school outside my locality changed my perception towards life.I did my highschool final exam in the year 2012 and proceeded to college the following year. In the middle of my course,i was blessed with my firstborn son.during his growth he developed some problems that made him to be admitted in hospital for two months.these plus the normal challenges of a newlywed couple made me defer my learning.the illness drained my husbands savings.after nursing my son for two years i started my small business. My desire to support my husband drove me to start a business whereby i deal with soaps and toothpastes.besides that i like the environment in which i live since its multicultural neighborhood.my son has interest in music.my hobby is writing songs.

My Business

my business is located in makongeni ;a rather busy outskirt of thika town.My business deals with sales of home based goods such as:bathing soaps,tooth paste,homebased pestisides,lowcost lotions.these goods are used on daily basis by the otherwise high population in my neighborhood.this business came to my mind since its simple to start due to its low startup capital .A good start up stock consisting of soaps and toothpastes would cost me upto KES3000.This in return will make a total profit of KES2000.out of that profit i just deduct county government rates of KES20 per day.the profits mostly go towards reinvestments and partly towards growing other aspects of my business.

Loan Proposal

The past three months has seen quite an increase in demand for my home-made detergent.This has seen my weekly sales maintain at thirty litres per week.I intend to increase my weekly production to fifty litres per week.this will enable me to search for a bigger market for my detergent.I also plan to diversify my products to make washing soaps for floors and utensils.below is my breakdown;
solutions for 50 litres =$10
perfumes for 50 litres=$0.98
A litre of detergent goes for$ 0.05 hence a weekly sale will give a turn over of $2.5.
