About Me

My name is Julia Wanjiru age23 years, born in a family of 3 siblings and a 1st born in the family in a village known as Engoshura Nakuru where I grew up and raised there. I finished my o-level in the year 2009 at Kiamaina High school on your way to Nyahururu from Nakuru. In the year 2010 April to August same year I joined a computer school and managed to get a certificate in computer Packages. The year 2011-2012 I joined Mount Kenya University and pursue a course-Diploma in Banking and Finance. I completed and graduated on the same course in the year 2012.
I worked at Excel Exam press as a secretary doing Typesetting and graphic design. The bureau got closed down and was forced to come up with idea of starting my own business which I still run to date. The competition is stiff but I have managed to get clients who are daily customers and the business is doing okay.
My mother and siblings did help me in coming up with the business and they have my back till now. My plans are that when the business do well I will be able to help my mother with paying our last born’s tuition fee as he is still in High school. I deal with selling Empty DVD’s , CD’s and Photo Papers and also do designing jobs like Business Cards, wedding cards, posters and printing T-Shirts. The job is great and I have passion for it besides the up and downs and the norm of running business.
The business is located at outskirts of Nyahururu Town at place Karonga it’s near where I stay so it makes it easier for me to reach and open earlier. The best thing is that the business is located near Laikipia Campus, Egerton University so I have many clients who are students.

My Business

So after I cleared with my Diploma at Mount Kenya University, I did some job at a Press Bureau I decided to come with a business idea of doing work related in the field of computers since I had a certificate in the same. I started My business the year 2013 to Date. It’s located in the outskirts of Nyahururu at a place called Karonga near Laikipia Campus Egerton University. I deal mainly in Selling Blank DVD’s ,CD’s , All types of Photo Papers and I provide service like Typesetting and Graphic Design.
I got inspired to operate this business first because of my own idea to open it, second because I found of a great supplier who offered to supply me with the materials at an affordable price. Despite the business being out of town I have my potential clients and it’s the only bureau which offers the said service hence no competition. I have good relation with clients and they refer others to me as I provide excellent service and no complain comes from the one’s I have worked for before.
I have done my marketing well both via social sites and by printing out advertisement coupons and spread them out with the service offered. The biggest challenge is that I have a printer but it doesn’t meet all jobs I do because its not that effective and cant handle large quantity of work, sometimes it causes jam. I would like Zidisha to help me in purchasing a new Epson Printer that is very fast and very reliable as it performs great and its threshold is high. If granted the loan I will purchase it and it will allow me to even save much since sometimes I have to go to town and complete other printings and I pay for them. My intention is to add value to the business by expanding it and by so doing my clients will have a wider access of what they need.

Loan Proposal

The reason for taking this loan is to buy:
