About Me

I am the last born in a family of 3 brothers.Having been raised by the most amazing woman single handedly, I have learnt that nothing comes easy. I am hardworking, self motivated. I started school in Unity primary school in Nairobi then later joined Moi Equator high school in Nanyuki for my O-levels. I joined Kiwan College, Nairobi and did a Diploma in Programming after which i started working in Zuku (an entertainment industry) as a Customer Care representative. I am currently working at Bridge international academies (Nairobi) as a customer care representative.when I was young, I always knew that I wanted to be a business woman. it was one of my greatest dream. I would always envy the shopkeepers in my village....from how they would travel long distances to look for goods to stock their shops to arranging them in an inviting way on the dusty shelves u found it very fun and always wanted to be in business. After finishing College,I thought my dreams were shattered due to lack of money. I visited a couple of banks to borrow a loan but would be turned down because I could not meet all their requirements. I was so devastated and talked to a few friends and one of them referred me to Zidisha.

My Business

I run a Rabbit farming business. Having done extensive research of the same. Research shows that rabbit meat is medicinal. It helps reduce diabetes, blood pressure, gout, arthritis, heart disease, and kidney and boost libido. Having known that, most people are now opting to have rabbit meat instead of red meat. I currently rear California white, Chinchilla, Dutch, and Flemish. My customers are mainly hotels and restaurants that I supply at ksh 500 per kg. I also have walk in clients in the community who prefer to get the meat on their own. I have currently employed 3 people to manage my business.
There is growing demand of the rabbit meat in Kenya hence my need to expand my business. I’d like to be the most preferred rabbit meat supplier not only in Kenya but in East Africa. Apart from that, I’d like to create awareness in other communities on rabbit meat as this will in turn create more jobs for the youths and women groups.Zidisha lenders, please make my dreams come true

Loan Proposal

I’d like to thank Zidisha community for this opportunity to take my business to the next level. I run a rabbit farming business. Due to the growing demand of rabbit meat, I’d like to expand my business. I will use the loan to buy more rabbits, build more hatches, and rent a bigger space for the same. I will also use the money to create awareness in other communities. The rest of the monies, I will put into use in delivery of my goods to my clients, my target being 6 stars hotels. It’s my hope that if given the loan I will meet these goals. I also wish to give back to the society by extending these facilities to less fortunate. I am positive that Zidisha lenders will be part of letting my dreams come true.
