About Me

I, Daniel Kinuthia, live in Embakasi , a residential area that is found about 30 KM from the city of Kenya, that is Nairobi. I am a married with 2 kids. There has been very sparsely located butcheries yet rental houses are avast with high population. In translation to this, meat is not sufficing. This was, to me, a solid reason to put up a butchery in the locality…and this pleased me for the way it got its way forth. I have been educating my children well and feeding my entire family without lacking.

My Business

love food businesses as there is no way people refuse eating what come may! I deal with selling of meat. In short I am a butcher. Embakasi is a highly populated area yet there is no major abattoir / slaughter house. The nearest one is in the city of Nairobi. Quite far indeed. The main challenges facing this business of selling meat is effects of lacking a refrigerator and hardship when one lacks a quick and reliable means of transport to go and bring the beef and or goat meat . Also, since slaughtering is not done on weekends, customers flock to those competitors who afford bulky buying on Fridays to preserve stock till Monday.

Loan Proposal

I am grateful for such a great opportunity to get a loan from Zidisha organization. I would like to use this loan that I will get from Zidisha organization to open a new meat outlet. This will be very important as I will be able to provide my products to more customers as well as increase my revenues in the business.

    Dear Lenders,

my name is Roberta Zenere and I am a Kenya Country Liason intern at Zidisha.

Daniel sent a message to Zidisha regarding his loan repayment. He is sorry for the delay but he had some complications with his business. Also, he had some unexpected expenses for his daughter's medication. Yet, Daniel is very committed in paying his loan back. As you can see from his repayment schedule, he sent a partial repayment just a few days ago. So, we are confident that he will catch up soon with the amount in arrears.

Daniel, we wish all the best to you, your family, and your business.

Lenders, please, if you have any questions, contact us!

    Best regards,

    Roberta
