My name is Francis Ibrahim Njoroge .I come from Bahati in Nakuru area. I am a retired teacher. With the money which I earned during my working years I bought a farm where I settled my with my family it not far from nakuru town and we usually sell some of our farm produce to to the town our is hot and many times crops grow quickly any other area around like for example if it is the case of maize we sale green maize because when the many areas around are still not ready. green maize usually give the farmers good returns compared to the dry maize. the same case is the crop like peas we also sell them while they are still green.the other crops like beans when they full ready and they also give us good money because many surrounding areas they are not ready so they also give us good money due to lack of competition.
Since I retired from teaching I have been doing the farming business. I have been growing crops for sale and some for our consumption. I also keep cows which produce milk for sale and some we use at home. The money we get from this bisiness is used to pay bills like school fees and other needs. We have an added advantage because we do not pay house rent for we live in our farm. From growing crops we get about 400000annully and 200000annully from selling milk I also teach in private schools where I get about 120000per year. The total annual income is about 720000
I have introduced a new farming method of keeping fish in my farm. This type of farming has high cost and it will also pay more in return Iam in the final part of bringing the fish so I would need about 80000 to complete the project, I would be glad if the zidisha team would give me that loan so that I can complete the remaining part.
