About Me

My name is Ireri Wambui, 29 years old.I am married with two children both of the them boys age 4 and 7,who are in primary school. My husband is a businessman who owns a cybercafe.I do coordinate with him in paying of bills and school fees of our children. But with the ever increase in cost of commodities and a constant paycheck, there's strain on our budget.we therefore decided on ways to increase our income. I am a well established and qualified chef, currently working in Jupiter guest resort studied in hotel management at Nairobi technical school and have worked at Panafric and ambassador hotel as a pastry chef. In addition to my job I have a baking business that I carry out at home. I established the business to support my spouse in providing for my family needs.

My Business

I currently operate a bakery that I have set up at home. The business has created employment for one young person to distribute the cakes to various shops. My business faces off competition by ensuring the products are fresh and well made to the clients requirements.
However my business, just like any other enterprise faces certain challenges. Some of they include inadequate funds to buy quality supplies to make a variety of products. Secondly, I do not have up to date equipments to ensure efficiency in making of the products. Upon grant of the loan I intend add up to my savings and purchase an up to date oven as well as other equipments for my business. Moreover the proceeds from the business will enable me complete my diploma in business administration and marketing. The skills learnt will enable me manage my business better and make it more profitable

Loan Proposal

I intend to purchase a packaging machine for an attractive look on my products and healthy to my customers, this will cost me 6000 Kenya shillings.i will also use 1000 shillings to advertise on Kenyatta university college radio which is the market i intend to capture once they reopen next semester which starts this september. The rest of the money will be to rent a small room which i will use as a cake shop in the market.this will be used to distribute my cakes in the market of Githurai.I take this opportunity to thank the zidisha organization and all lenders for the wonderful job they are doing to fund small scale businesses.Thank you all and GOD BLESS YOU.
