When i get this loan,i plan to buy 20 mature indigenous chicken at a cost of 115 dollars and the remaining 35 dollars i plan to buy feeds (layers mash)and drugs(vaccines) since my sole business is selling eggs.
Where i live the demand for eggs is very high and the supply is really low. Most farmers who have chicken especially indigenous ones are very hesitant when it comes to selling eggs.
The main reason being when the chicken lays like 10-20 eggs it incubates them for 21 days and hatch chicks.
Most farmers prefer keeping the eggs until they want to incubate ..and that's why the supply is low.In my neighborhood in Nakuru,Kenya i have researched and realized there are 3 kind of customers.
1.Retailers(The ones who are going to eat them)
2.Wholesaler(the ones who are going to sell them i.e. shop owners)
3.Farmers(The ones are going to incubate them and get chicks)
I have already tested my idea and i have invested about 400 dollars for the chicken structure for it can house over 400 birds plus another 200 dollars for the birds minus feeds and drugs.
