About Me

I was born on the 3rd for January 1978 in igenaitambe village, west mugirango constituency kisii county. I started schooling in igenaitame primary school in 1983. After completing my primary school in 1991 I later joined Njoro boys high school where I completed my A levels in 1995 and later on joined Egerton University and pursued a bachelor of education.
I worship at Ngata Seventh Day Adventist church which is located in Ngata which is 8kilometers from Nakuru town. I stay in Ngata bridge adjacent to the SDA Adventist church black gate.

My Business

I operate a cosmetic business located in section 58 in the outskirts of Nakuru town. Three years ago I realized the booming salon industry that was growing at a very alarming rate, I realized their biggest challenge was the availability of cosmetic shops where they could get their products in retail. That’s when I decided to venture into the business. Before then the beauticians would go to Nakuru town which is approximately one and a half kilometers to get their products
I started small and realized the demand for the products because I gave my clients products with the same price as they would get if they went to Nakuru Town. This was attractive to them because they incurred less transportation cost than going to Town. Due to the availability of the desired products at all times I have managed to attract and retain more customers through the years.
I sell cosmetics, braids, human hair, weaves and artificial nails (fingers and toes), beads such as earrings, bangles, necklaces, anklets it has been my desire to expand my business more to sell purses and also handbags but it has been difficult due to inadequate finance. Also I would wish to improve my service delivery to satisfy my increasing customers. Lately I have been attracting customers from Free area in Nakuru which is approximately 3 kilometers from Nakuru town but 11/2 kilometers from section 58.
In a month am able to make sales revenue of approximately KES 80,000 and during peak seasons like April, August and December holidays the sales increases to approximately KES 150,000. I incur a monthly expenses of approximately KES 55,500 Inclusive of electricity labour and purchases

Loan Proposal

I really appreciate the honor that Zidisha organization has given me, The funds I will receive Ksh 7,500 (seven thousand five hundred) will be used to add my current stock of purses and handbags since this is the perfect season for those items because many schools and colleges have closed for the holidays hence making demand for this products high, this will in turn increase my sales turnover thus help a great deal in improving my financial position. God bless.
