My name is Zida Ousuaue on 23 August 1984 in Tamale, Ghana. I am married father of four children including a daughter and three boys. My parents were farmers in northern Ghana in Wa town. With the income of this activity, they covered the expenses of the family but also the tuition fees. With the country's northern climatic conditions not very favorable to agriculture, my parents decided to settle here in Tamale to enjoy the climatic conditions that are better compared to the north of the country. Since I have been here, things have changed considerably in my favor. I work in the field of agriculture during the rainy season and I trade during the dry season. During the dry season, I sell women's shoes at the Tamale market. I ask for the loan with zidisha to pay agricultural inputs to increase my agricultural production.
I have been doing this work here in Tamale for three years now and for the time being all is well for me. I start work from the beginning of the winter season until the harvest period. But the problem I encounter is that I use very old methods and techniques of work like the use of daba and other archaic methods. I now want to modernize techniques and methods starting with the plow with animal traction. I realize a lot of profit in this job because I feed my family and I sell the surplus on the local market. The sum of money through the sale of the surplus allows me to pay for the schooling of my children and the sale of women's shoes gives me the opportunity to give money to prepare the sauce for the family meal. I welcome this initiative because it allows those who do not have enough resources to carry out their projects.
The money from this loan will be used to buy improved seeds for off-season farming. I inform you that this will allow me to have a profit of $ 200. When I go to buy the seeds, I will use the crop money of this year to repay the loan. The harvest of the off-season farming crop is expected in at least three months. This is wonderful.
Thank you to all those involved in the realization of my happiness.
