It a new year and i would like to thank all my lenders who made it possible for me to have my second loan i don't have enough words to express my gratitude because i managed to get a new bike and though i had lots hectic time at the county office for the new license due to the new county laws am happy to say that my bikes are all working and making a huge change in my life, after buying the bike and the license i manged to remain with 10, 000 which helped me to go and visit my rural area which i haven't done for like 8 years and am really happy that i did go home thanks to zidisha. since now i have more than three bikes my income has increases which is helping in paying the tuition for my little niece which is my primary goal and my life has never been the same again not to forget i did employee a rider who is very hard working guy who volunteer to work through the week and rests at night which is really improving the life of his family. i can't thank zidisha enough but hope many people around the world is getting such help like this and making a change in their lives. Thanks to all of you and may God Bless you.

the reason why i am requesting to reduce the amount of repayment is that my motorbike was involved in an a road accident on fifteenth of august and it is currently at the police station, i was told to pay kshs 19,000 by the end of august today so that i can take my motorbike for repair and this has brought a financial restrain on me and i would not like to be behind my payment of the loan i wish that you will accept my request. thank you

Hi Caroline - congrats on getting the second motorbike!

What are your typical challenges running the motorbike business? Any issues with fuel cost, insurance cost, bike tyres, major repairs, prompt maintenance, passenger safety, bike / rider licensing etc.

I pray that you reach your goal of 15 motor-bikes so you can provide employment for 15 riders and good income for their families.

      Well done madam!

        Hello fayankogbe,
Thank you very much, the major challenges i get in this business are the fuel cost mostly this is because some times in kilifi we run out of fuel for a reason known only by the government alone, but i have learn to cope with it in that i collaborate with the public vehicle who bring for me fuel from the nearest town of Mombasa, which really help me in the time of crisis, the next is the repairs of either the side mirror, changing of the oil which i do once after every two weeks, but the small repairs are on the rider so that he can make sure he don't miss use the bike.
on the part of the insurance i normally take the insurance once a year which cost me about 7,000 ksh and now am waiting for them to cover the two bikes with about 10,000ksh, or less which am trying to talk with my insurance company.
on the part of the riders license i always employe a rider with all the documents and also that enable me to get the best and trust worthy riders,
safety of the customers are the most important issue for me like the second bike am going to be picking children from public schools and and my concern is their safety and that is why i talked with my neighbor who is the local police tragic to help me watch how my riders behave on the road and with customers.
in general i will always trust my business so that i can improve my life and others and with this i will manage to fulfill my goals.
        Thank You.

        Hello russell,
Thank you, i thought of employing a women rider but the problem is that in kilifi we only have two women riders and they are already employed, i would like to have one to handle the children, all in all i have faith with my riders and believe they will behave well with the children.
my contract with them is very clear which is if i hear that they either steel or violate the customer i will have their license revoked in short they will no-longer ride motorbike
and it is a signed contract which they are aware of so i take their words and also working very closely with the police on that so i am looking forward to seeing my business succeed so my prayer is that they maintain the agreement and always ensure that the customer is satisfied.
        thank you.
