About Me

Am sheriff otieno .I was born and grew up and live in Busia town.
after school I started a business of selling cereals from farming homes and selling them to at the market on my own From these business I have been able to pay may fees since my mother has been having a challenge of life.i was able to start business from my small pocket money had saved plus the soft loan got from my uncles .
I started the business with ksh.10,000 which I started t with 5 sucks of maize at 2,000 I did these at Matayos market .after school I had raised enough money that I was able to get to town and secured a place busia market . I had a lot of customers that encourage me and know am proud because I know by maize from Kenya and sell in Uganda market .
Currently I have a stock worth 100,000 which is so impressive to me which has give the hopes of getting these loan to so as to increase my stock .
I started the business so as to create job opportunity after school and to be able support my family.

My Business

I Am a clearing and forwarding agent at the Busia border with ramsford company .apart from that I buy and sell cereals from Kenya to Uganda sofia . my office located at the border at busia communication house on grown flow the last door.
I sell maize, beans and green grams .The demand is high the fact that Busia is situated in Kenya Uganda border so most of my customers are those who want to cross the border especially those who clear the vehicles and these their people who works here in town.

My business is profitable because I have so many customers so the more I serve the more i earn especially those from schools . The challenge am facing is just lack of capital to expand my business the demand is high than I have. and also to get a bigger store for my goods.

My monthly usage is as follows KES 80,000 transport ,KES 500,000 for the stock and 100, 000 for other expenceses like buying sucks .profit ranges from KES 30,000-40000 per month. The loan i will used to modify my business and its the business that will repay the loan. And with these I will be able to support myself and family with less stress.

i will be in a position to stock for the dry season which will create for me good time of my sale since when i get a bag for ksh.2,500 i will be in a position to get 2,000/- profit which will assist me pay back my loan without stress and on time

i will be in position to get another store for my goods since the business demand is getting higher every day since the Kenyan government is increasing school which are my main clients and the hotel business is also getting bigger

i will be in a great position to get more vehicles 2 to add on 1 that i use to transport my goods to the market

on my profit i will be able to pay for my loan and also pay my boys on time. thank you zidisha for these privilege you are offering me.
