I am a twe old student at Kisii university pursuing a bachelor course in computer science,i am in my final year of study.I was born in a village called koiwa.koiwa is located in koiwa sub-location,mogogosiek location, konoin division, bureti district, kericho county.i am a 5th born in a family of 7 siblings.i started my schooling journey at koiwa primary then i joint kabianga high school.after my four years in kabianga high school i join kisii university under the government sponsored program me that is join admission board program me.i am a business oriented person,i have been running business as i study as well.
I started a business 8 months ago at Koiwa Trading Centre where i collect all the green leaves from farmers and taking them to the nearest tea factory for processing. I have three workers who helped me collect the green leaves in rural areas and bring them to my business premise at Koiwa Trading Centre. We pay farmers instantly depending on the weight of their tea leaves. Each kilo of a tea leave we buy at kshs 20 and subsequently sell at ksh 30 per kilo in nearest factory. Every month, by the help of my workers we collect to around 600kgs of tea leaves and i receive payments monthly. I pay my workers ksh 5000 exclusive of commission granted to them when they collect more tea leaves. This business has been booming and it is so profitable and i am planning to buy a vehicle to help me collect more tea leaves as possible. the competition is so stiff and punitive from the surrounding big companies and factories like KTDA among others. Despite this competition i make sure i fight strong and healthy to remain on top and win the market. I am planning to diversify and open a factory in future. The challenge i am facing is lack of funds to achieve this dream.
The loan from zidisha will enable me to expand my single line business of buying tea leaves from farmers .This loan which am requesting to lend me with will make me collect more tea leaves from farmers. This will attract farmers who because of one or other reason will like to sell their tea leaves from their farms because of available liquid cash with me to pay them immediately after they deliver to me tea leaves..
Actually i will I project that I will be able to buy 1500kgs of tea leaves each kilogram costing KES 20.This will be a much higher collection If i collect these amount of kilograms within one month.I want also to meet the datelines of kilos to be entered for bonus calculations. The dateline will be the month of June and bonus will be given out in the month of October and the higher the kilos someone will have, the higher the bonus he or she will be awarded.
The benefit I expect to net will be in terms of bonus and its calculation will be as follows:1500*25 and will be equal to KES 37500.This will be after subtracting all costs incurred ..I will use monthly payments to pay laborers (two of them) and any costs that I might have incurred in the course of day to day operation.Monthly payment are normally calculated as follows :1 kilo costs cash Kes 14.so (1500kilos *14 will be equal to 21000) .Of which also I will use to repatriate back to tea leaves collection to increase cumulative kilos for bonus.
The zidisha should lend me because I do not have this money am requesting. This will go along way in making to realise my dreams come true because I believe in zidisha team.Once again thankyou and May God continue blessing you.
