I went to school until the end of highschool but didn’t take the bac (qualifying exams to move on to higher education). After, I had professional training – two years of English and six months of computer classes and received a certificate in this subject.

J'ai fait l'ecole jusqu'a la classe de terminant mais j'ai pas eu mon bac. Apres j'ai fait la formation professionelle - deux ans d'anglais plus six mois d'informatique et j'ai eu mon diplome d'attestation dans ce domaine.

I am a businesswoman and a seamstress. I sew with my tailors and I also travel to Mauretania to buy merchandise to sell here in Senegal.

I send boubous (traditional Senegalese men’s clothing) to New York in the United States to my sister-in-law to sell them to Americans. I would very much like to visit the United States, but I have not obtained a visa, I’ve tried two times but it’s too difficult.

I have access to a tontine group made up of my friends. Every month, each member contributes 15,000 CFA (about $30). Our group is made of twenty people. One woman will receive 300,000 CFA (about $600) when they are chosen. I’ve received 200,000 CFA (abo0ut $400) two times which I’ve payed back.

Je suis commercante couturier. Je cout avec mes tailleurs et j'ai meme d'habitude de voyager vers la Mauretanie pour acheter les marchandises et je les vends ici au Senegal.

J'envoie des boubous aux Etats Unis a New York chez ma belle soeur pour vendre aux Americains. J'aimerais bien visiter les Etats Unis mais je n'ai jamais obtenu un visa, j'ai essaye deux fois mais il est trop difficile.

J'accede dans une groupe de tontine avec mes copines. Tous les mois, chaque membre cotise quinze mille franc. Actuellement, nous sommes vingt personnes. On recoit 300,000CFA quand quelqu'un est choisi. J'ai recu la somme de 200,000CFA deux fois et j'ai deja paye.
