About Me

My education on life and business started soon after completing my O levels.My parents shared a salary of a primary school teacher and a peasant farmer to raise 10 kids.I realized it was a herculean task when they were unable to send me to college.
After doing odd jobs at home ,I got a job at a sweet making company in Nairobi industrial area.
While working there I lived in a low income neighborhood popular with factory workers.
I realized that affordable milk was in great demand here.
There was always a milk glut in my village owing farmers exploitation and un coordinated collection.
I will use the investment advanced to buy an extra bicycle and a cooler to improve collection and storage.

My Business

Milk vending is my business.I buy milk directly from farmers near Limuru township and deliver directly to consumers in Nairobi industrial area.
Milk vending is a highly profitable business when one is able to mitigate against the risks of perish-ability.Processed milk is beyond the reach of many low income households in Nairobi.Yet,milk is a most important ingredient in a typical Kenyan breakfast[used to make tea].

EXPENSES
150 litres*40= 6000
Transport = 1000
Wages = 800
Rent =200
Total expenses= 8000

Monthly profit =[9000-8000]*30= 30000.
With the help of lenders on this platform,I intend to buy an extra bicycle and a cooler to improve my collection and storage system.With the improvement ,I will be able to increase my daily collection thus enhancing my profitability. I also intend to eventually diversify to milk value addition and with the market gap for my target market ,the prospects look bright.

Loan Proposal

With the investment from my lenders,I will improve my collection and storage systems.A bicycle and a cooler would be a great investment .In my milk vending business ,collection and storage are the main challenges.The bicycle will make it easier,faster and more efficient to collect milk.The cooler would mitigate against perishability risks.
With the above,I will reduce loss,increase daily volumes and hence better profits.
