About Me

My name is Ashton Mlevu Maganga, I come from a humble background being fouth in our family. I currently i reside at Miami video in Mtwapa area.
My ambition is to make sure that i have achieved what have set to do. Am a director of the New Life Academy with avast experience of 7 years as a head teacher in St. Mathew’s junior School. I own a school in Mikajuni in Mtwapa town which is the fastest growing town in kilifi county. The main aim of starting this school is to eradicate illiteracy among the community and make all students learn and have “education the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world” by Nelson Mandela. I focus fully in education to the young and old to have super future, as i also earn a living with my nuclear family of one son and my wife and not forgetting to advance in teaching to higher level possible.

My Business

I own an ECDE school and primary by the name “New Life Academy” services that i offer:- teaching, job opportunities, guiding and counselling and language teaching e.g French, Italian and Germany. My school is located in Mtwapa town in Kilifi county. Even though there is stiff competition i have clients who enable me get something at the end of the day.
My clients include the parents who bring their kids to learn in my school rather than taking them to the government school which has inadequate teacher and overflowing with learners making it unconducive environment for leaning to take place.
My school is up to Std. 5 i.e KG 1, 2, 3, STD 1-5. It is growing rapidly from 50 pupils 156 pupils in duration of two terms. Since i started it, this year of 2013 due to perfect services rendered to the entire community.
I focus on buying learning materials e.g. textbooks and offer learning equipments and apparatus e.g desks and teacher’s tables and chairs.
I spend 68,600 Kenya shillings on rent, teachers salaries and other miscellaneous
On average I make 81,000 kenya shillings and 12,400 shillings profit.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy school stationary like few books, chalks rulers buy story books and as am a member zidisha family i will continue to be part of it. on my seconda loan after i repay back i will use it to buy a plot or may be buy a school of my own with the savings that i will add to it. thanks and God bless zidisha.
