I am koskei k. wesley.I am a student of Ksii University persuing actuarial science course. I am in fourth year and expecting to clear my undergraduate by May 2014.my home place is kiptenden village, kapkwen location of kericho county in kenya.I am a christian from a humble background.I started my business so that it can assist me in financing my education.I have done this over the last years successfully.Since I come from a humble background i am always in need of school fees and i have struggled to innovate new ideas that can assist me maximize the return from the market as well as satisfying the customer demands. My business entails buying and selling farm products especially milk.I have always been keen in monitoring the market trends to ensure that my venture remains viable throughout.
I am planning to expand my personal business of buying and selling farm produce to include eggs. This is because of increasing number of farmers who have ventured into these projects of cattle and chicken rearing(dairy and poultry) and in the other hand the increasing urbanization in the sorrounding areas which needs a middle person of which i have decided to occupy.my customers prefer my goods since they are available in time and at an affordable price which are market consistent. My business is profitable since the goods are easily turned into cash within a short period meaning that the storage cost is not incurred hence the profit is maximum. The risk is just changes in weather conditions which affects the production but this is not great. The costs incurred are the transport costs and the costs incurred in paying my workers who collects the products.I get the profits per day since the we usually collects the produce in the morning and by the evening we will have distributed all to our customers.I therefore i believe that the zidisha loan will enable me expand this business.
I will use the loan to expand my business to include supplying farm inputs to farmers since the planting season here in Kenya is about to begin. The farm inputs that I will trade in include seeds, herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers.I have been keen in monitoring the seasons and their respective demands and I believe that this is one of the best timed opportunity.
The benefits that I will get will be in form profits since I will be buying the goods at whole sale prices, pack the goods in small quantities affordable by small scale farmers. This will earn me a lot of return since from the past experience, this has always proved successful since the demand for these goods at such a time is high. This means that I will be turning the inventory into cash within a very short period of time. With this also, it means that the storage costs I will incur will be minimal hence high profits.
Therefore, I am requesting Zidisha Lenders to help me fund my investment project so that I can realize my investment dreams in the business world. This is because the returns I have gained from the previous investments are not enough to see me through in this venture and that is why am soliciting these funds from you. With your assistance I am sure that I will make it.Thanks and may God bless you
