About Me

Am a resident of mtwapa, named Fatuma Salim Juma. Am a mother of one child who is five years old and is in kG1 at a nearby private school. Am a business lady operating a grocery here in mtwapa. My education back ground is a primary school dropout because of my family's financial status. i stated this business in order to improve my economic status. Because of my education back ground being low i could not get a reasonable job that would help me with my family needs.I was first employed as a house help by one of the neighboring businessman, here i was paid ksh 5,000 per month, considering my family expenditure, i needed atleast ksh 10,000 per month, which was low compared to my needs so i had to stop in order to look for something better. And this is why doing business was the best alternative. In my grocery, shop i sell all household items like wheat flour, maize flour, milk, sugar laundry soap kerosene the list is endless all types of house hold goods. This is a good business as i make an income of ksh 20,000 in a month after my expenses. With my income i buy food for my family pay rent and pay school for my child. then the remaining i save in my account.

My Business

My business is a grocery. this is a business in mtwapa area. In my shop i mostly deal with human food and also laundry products. I get my supplies from the nearby wholesales found within mtwapa town. And sometimes i follow other products in Mombasa town where there are the biggest wholesalers. And with some products like cooking oil we get them directly from the manufactures. this has been a good source of income to because am situated in one of the busy street in mikanjuni area. My customers are mainly my neighbors and because it besides a busy street people passing by also are my regular customers. This is a good business as i make an income of ksh 20,000 per month risks include fluctuation of prices which occurs sometime and this makes me loose money and reduce my profit. With this amount i use ksh 2,000 paying rent, ksh 3,000 paying rent at the shop, ksh 5,000 , so i save ksh 10,000 per month and with this amount i can effectively repay my zidisha loan.My objective is to expand my business so as to improve my financial status. And this is why i want zidisha to help me in improving my business.

Loan Proposal

i will use this loan to buy more stock of goods into my shop this is by buying things like wheat flour in large amount maize flour cocking oil paraffin sugar sodas and many more. this will be of big boost into my business since my shop it is in the rural town of mtwapa in mikanjuni at a place where it is surrounded my many people then by adding more of the stock into the shop it will enable me to sell more goods and make more income through this.
