My full names are Salim Njoroge Nderitu. I am a husband and a father of three kids who are all in school. All of my kids are in primary school. I was born in Kiptangwanyi at a place called Manyeki. I attended Muriricua primary school and I was able to finish my primary education. I then joined Muriricua secondary and where I completed my secondary certificate in the year 2005. After school I went to Nakuru where I did my driving course for three months. When I completed the course I was employed as a driver by a public vehicle businessman. The ,matatu was plying through Kiptangwanyi and Nakuru. I got some money from the work and I started the business of phone accessories and electrical appliances at Kiptangwanyi shopping center. I have been in this business since the year 2008. It is doing well and has a good potential at this area. There are good months for the business are during holidays that is April, August and December. During this time I usually sell quite a good stock. The phone accessories usually are much in demand in this area as people now no longer go to Nakuru to buy these products.
I started this business i n the year 2008. It has been a source of livelihood for me and my family. I rely on it so much and I hope that it will be improved in the years to come. I usually work very hard to obtain genuine parts of the phones accessories. My family assists me in the shop and this reduces the labor cost and thus maximizing the profit of my business. This is a business that I love with all my heart and my customers are my priority. I usually do my best to offer the best products for my customers. The business is profitable and the demand for this commodities that I sell in my shop. The main products whose demand is usually very high are electric cables, phones chases and bulbs. I am hopeful that this loan that I will get from Zidisha organization will be of great importance and it will improve my business well. Zidisha are doing a recommendable job in ensuring that we improve our business to a good level and this is something that we can never take for granted. The main challenges that the business encounter are frequent power outages, and fluctuation of world prices of phone accessories.
I would like to use the loan to equip my business with more stock of phone accessories and too I would like to introduce electrical appliances. This commodities integrate well and usually there is high demand for these products. i would therefore like to use this opportunity from the loan that I will be granted from Zidisha. This will increase the range of the customers that I serve in this area.
