About Me

My name is David Maina. I was born and bred in Murang'a County, Kenya. I am a God fearing man and I’m married to one wife with whom we are blessed with a son who is exactly three now.

I lost my employment in February 2012 and decided to run my private business. I have since established Ryantech Solutions (www.ryantechkenya.com) which offers printing and branding services.

My Business

Ryantech is a fast growing Kenyan branding agency. We offer graphic designs, branding and printing services to our customers. As such we have earned a reputation for high performance and reliability which is based on providing clients with real solutions that are of quality.

Our services range from desktop publishing and brand conceptualization, corporate branding (t-shirts, school uniforms, aprons, protective clothing, corporate shirts, pens, wall clocks, umbrellas etc), official booklet printing and supply (receipt books, ticket books, LPs, delivery books, invoices etc), light box designs and fabrication, snapper frames and general framing supply and installation, gift cards, special occasion cards, contribution cards, business cards, staff cards and badges, visitor’s cards etc) design and printing of logos, magazines, newsletters, brochures, fliers, booklets etc.

Since I started Ryantech, I have wanted to own a professional printer to capture an untapped market in the city. So many customers, whom I serve in my small office, need to do spontaneous colored print-outs on A4s and A6s (photo prints) as well as photocopying. Because I lack the printer, I end up referring them or transfer their artworks to neighboring printing bureaus and lose the business.



If I get a loan of around Ksh. 8000 (USD 95 ) I will use the funds to purchase a HP DESKJET - INK ADVANTAGE - 5525 Series which I'll use for colored printing. At the local shop the printer costs around KSh 13,900. With the loan as indicated, I will achieve the total cost as I have saved Ksh 7800 (USD 90) with a chama (merry go round).


I will be doing approximately 80-Colored-A4s during weekdays to regular customers and 40-A6-Photos to merry makers over the weekend at a local recreational center. I will take photos with my camera. As such I will make a total weekly sale of (80A4s x 20 Shillings x 5days = Ksh 8000) and (40A6s x 50 x 2days = Kshs 4000). That’s a whole Kshs 12000 total sale per week.

The income generated will help in Ryantech's daily operational costs and help in doing more marketing for the other services I offer. In future I look forward to having a full printing press, complete with a large format and modern digital printer, A2 & A3 digital printers, a digital paper cutter and create employment by hiring some machine operators.
