The quality of a child’s education directly contributes to a country’s economic growth through the enhancement of an individual’s skills and earnings potential. Additionally, increased quality primary school education provides skills in literacy and numeracy resulting in a direct impact on poverty and hunger. “Education is a human right with immense power to transform. On its foundation rest the cornerstones of freedom, democracy and sustainable human development.” Kofi Annan. The role of the physical environment can be so important in school settings; that it is sometimes referred to as the third teacher (after parents and teachers). Several Researches has shown that not only do children learn better in the correct settings, but teachers also perform and are motivated more too.

Additionally, increased quality primary school education provides skills in literacy and numeracy resulting in a direct impact on poverty and hunger. This is seen particularly in slums and rural areas where employment opportunities might be rare, and education enables people to make better use of available resources, such as land productivity or managing household budgets. “Education is a human right with immense power to transform.
