Hello, am Pacifica matoke, am 52 years old I reside in Kisii County. Am a house wife who mostly handles household chores but as part of earning extra income I managed a farm where I have planted bananas that I harvest twice per a month.
am blessed with two sons and the most money I generate from the farm helps to pay for their education.
My work mostly is with the my compound, as part of Making myself useful I started to plant bananas in the year 2013, at the moment I harvest bananas twice a month then sell them at a wholesale price to guys who take them to the city to sell.
I harvest 20 bananas per a harvest, then I sell at a wholesale price of KES 250 so in a harvest I make KES 5000, in a month I make at least KES 10000 from the bananas.
I use KES 100 to weed the farm and the rest I use it to for my sons' school fees and other expenses at home.
Hello, am applying for kes 89000, this amount will go to improving my farm to help me more profits.
My fence has fallen, I will use part of the loan to buy materials to install a better fence, I also intend to replace the old banana trees to ensure I sustain my income, I will replace the plants at intervals this will ensure I still have produce to supply to my customers.
From my previous loan I was able to add chicken, i will use part of the loan to stock feeds this will help me take care of them and avoid straining.
I will use, kes 25000 to buy posts for fencing, kes 5000 to buy nails and kes 15000 to buy a barbed wire for labor it will cost me kes 2000.
For replacing the banana trees, I will use kes 18000 to get banana trees, kes 5000 for manure that's added to the banana whole before planting and labor of kes 3500.
I will invest kes 10000, to buy feeds for the chicken, this a stock they will feed on for 2 months, the remaining kes 5000 I will use it to buy drinkers for the chicken, the ones I have are not enough and some have worn out.
Thanks for your support and be blessed.
I have been delivering my bananas and eggs to my customers this has made it easier for those who are not able tcome to my farm. The delivery service has increased my customers and this has increased my income.
