About Me

I'm Joel kaluna from a remote village in kakamega County in Kenya. I'm 26 years old working as a teacher in a local school and also have a side income generating hustle where I run a small restaurant in a shopping center near home.
I went through school by the help of my primary school teacher who sponsored me since my family could not raise school fees

My Business

I started my restaurant last year from small savings I had med during the previous year. The idea came to me since I saw an opportunity at the center. Taxi operators parked their motorbikes there but there was no a restaurant or even a tea room where the taxi men would have some coffee or even snacks. I have specialized in making chapati, mandazi and tea but I'm planning to expand this business. I have plans to shift to a bigger center which is about 2km from my current station.

Loan Proposal

I'm going to add more stock of sugar, rice, wheat flour since they the food stuffs I deal with at my restaurant. If I have some surplus the I will have some extra coin which I will divert to payment of workers. 50kg of sugar is 40 dollars, I'm planning to buy 2 bags. Payment of two of my workers each 2 dollars per day.
