About Me

hi my names are julia shimwaka.was born and brought up in nairobi.am currently work at coast provincial hospital in mombasa.i started farming as an option to salary which was not enough to cater for my needs and extended family.pig rearing in coast province is a challande since the muslim religion is in high numbers but i saw a future in it.i got this idea from a collegue and we now both supply pork.currently i have no children but raise my nieces and nephews who both want to be doctors and practice farming too.in my free time i like sight seeing,camping,dancing and singing and listening to music,travelling and telling stories that are full of jokes.

My Business

my business earns depending on delivery of the pork meat.i.e 30 kgs of pork at 1500.i deliver about 300 kgs on a weekly basis sparingly.
ill pay the loan on weekly basis at 1000 per week.incase of a nil delivery ill compensate with my savings which is unlikely.pork meat in delicious,the hooves and skin can be used to manufacture differnt items.the waste is manure and in return important in land fertility.i chose this business because its self rewarding.my costs are higher on piglets but once mature its less costly.my outcome is immediate after delivery.my profit is useful to school my nieces and helping my mother.currently am banking on building a childrens home.

i would get a wheelburrow costing 18.6 dollars, this will help ease transportation at the farm thus ease labour,do fencing costing 50dollars inturn help in security for my livestock,improve my trenches thus making the livestock comfortable and thus improving yields.in this i expect 30 dollars increase due to good output.
