My name is Isaac Muthiani.I come from kilimabogo Division.I come from a family of six and i am the 5th born.I completed my secondary school education in the year 2007.In the year 2008,i traveled to the Nairobi to look for a job since my family did not have money to pay for my college fee. After a long struggle of looking job in vain, i got the idea of starting a business of distributing snacks to supermarkets using a bicycle.I did not have enough money to start the business but by good luck my brother offered to give me a bicycle to start the business. At the start, the business had lots of challenges since i had to market my products. But now,it is well established and i don't struggle in marketing .In the year 2012,i got married and i was blessed with a baby girl who is 3 years now.i would like to see my girl grow and become a prominent person in our nation.During my free time i like taking my young girl for a nature walk.
Thank you for the opportunity again. My business is majorly supplying snacks in supermarkets and shops.i have been in the business for at least 5 years. These goods are fast moving since many people in our country prefer them for breakfast. These products include breads, cakes, biscuits among other snacks.I choose to do this kind of business because the market was available and unexploited by many in the country. Many people do not prefer to this of business since its much involving. In a day, i manage to sell goods worth 225 dollars.Out of this sales, i get an average profit of 55 dollars.Since i sell on credit, that is payments are collected the following day,i use this profit to buy stock and use the remaining in pay school fees for my daughter and also pay bills for my house. This has seen me grow my business since the year 2008 up to day.
Hi Lenders,
I will make a deposit of Kes 10,000 to my suppliers so as to increase my capital base. This will increase my credit worthiness and guarantee me stock even in the time i do not have enough money.
The remaining Kes 7,000 will be used to buy new products which i want introduce in the market. These are small cakes which are being made by a different company and i would like to invest in different commodities so as to increase my profits.
This will increase my current profit margin by atleast 30%.
