About Me

I am kelvin Andande a student at chuka university. currently in taking bachelor of education arts specializing in English literature. i am a student leader in my institution and a young entrepreneur too.i own a cyber cafe within the university and i have one employee. i love doing charity work and currently am supporting 5 high school students in their studies financially. for the past 5 years i have been thinking hard of how i can bring change both to my country and my community. In the year 2014 i went to the bank with a business proposal and they decide to fund me. Within two months the business had picked up and i was fetching huge profits daily. though i am a student i have turned to be a role model to my peers. i however had one problem with the banks because they charged very large amounts of interests on their loans. but with the introduction of zidisha i can see my dreams coming true within a short period of time. I hope that soon i will be among the "shark-tank" in my country.

My Business

my cyber cafe has 8 computers one printer and a photocopier machine. I also own a lamination machine. i offer internet services and sell office stationery. I have also started selling electronics mostly phones and laptops. currently i also offer m-pesa services. In a good month my business fetches about $300. the expenses i incur include wages electricity bills and restocking. I need the loan to expand the business and bring in more stock. i also want to start a charity foundation. Of course in future i would very much want to also become a lender and see others prosper too.

Loan Proposal

Thanks so much Zidisha for this opportunity. In order to maximise on my profits from my cyber business I intend to change ISPs so that I can access cheaper internet. This will ensure my customers who are mostly chuka university have access internet services at cheaper rates. I understand the pain my fellow students go through in doing research. The internet installations will cost me $100 for the gear and $50 for ISP subscription fees. This will ensure I have reliable internet and boost my business. Therefore lenders give me your hand. TIA
