About Me

Am Boniface a graphic designer by profession. Born and raised in Machakos county, studied my primary and secondary education in my village known as Upper Kiandani. After high school i went to college where i studied graphic design. After college i thought that life will be easy, i got a job security personnel (gate man) with an employer who was cruel to me.

I resigned the job and started hawking items in the ghetto areas of Nairobi (Korogocho, mathare slums, Kibera). At times i worked all day and raise good money but , on my way out of the slums, ghetto gangs would attack me and steal all what i have sold. I never gave up in life, but rather i looked for an alternative way to survive. It was in 2014, when i thought as i slept and i decided that i can make money out of my career. I started visiting offices and giving them my profiles and portfolios.

It was hard for people to trust that i can deliver their work on time. I struggled since i had no office, no machines to print but i had a laptop where i made all the artworks. I outsourced all the work and got very little amounts as profits. Am now married with one beautiful princess in class 4. She made me proud as she was the number one in last term. I would like her to study hard, go to the university and achieve her dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer. I always liked to design and working with computer, something that gave me sleepless nights when i was in college.

My Business

I have a printing business providing graphic design services and website design services. The link to my website is www.bormangraphics.co.ke
I currently saw a niche and am grabbing it in the making and printing of exercise school book covers. I have approached several learning insitutions having samples in my hand and they have found them very impressive. This will be my main business in 2018.

I am passionate about computers and that is why i choose a business that involves computers. Money generated by the business is used in paying off school fees for my child, taking care of my family and construction of a house, supporting the disabled and the needy in the community. When the business grows, I would like to sponsor 10 youths to study graphic design for free or website design.

In this regard, i am using a concept that will improve the lifes of youths in my community where, i train 10 people for free, and in return they also train others, at the end of the year, we will have created employment to more than 50 youths and through it, we will have helped our community.

Loan Proposal

I WOULD LIKE TO BUY MORE STOCK FOR MY BUSINESS LIKE PRINTING PAPERS, BLANK DVDs, PRINTING INKS, COMMUNICATION CABLES, NETWORK CONNECTION TERMINALS, POWER CABLES, NETWORK SWITCHES AND ROUTERS. THESE WILL ENABLE ME TO WORK AT FAST SPEEDS HENCE GENERATING HIGHER PROFITS. AM EXPECTING A PROFIT INCREASE OF AT LEAST 5% PER WEEK AND AT LEAST 15% PER MONTH. GETTING THESE AMOUNT AP PROFITS WILL BOOST MY BUSINESS AND WILL ALSO CREATE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY EVEN IF ITS FOR TWO YOUTHS.
